Worship Masterclass - Ministry in Music
I believe this course will bring so much value to your worship teams and the way you minister to your church as a band as it will:
1. Ignite your passion for the prophetic as a musician
2. It will show you what’s possible beyond the songs
3. It will increase your creative flair as a minister of music
1. Ignite your passion for the prophetic as a musician
The number of times I’ve heard people ask the question after a time of extended worship in a church service, “Why don’t we do this more often?” has happened too many times to count. It’s likened to what happens when we spend sufficient time in prayer or more time reading the bible as we always come away from those encounters hungrier for God and with a deeper desire for intimacy with Christ. This course aims to ignite the same passion and increase your hunger for prophetic expression in music and worship by teaching musicians how to not rush moments of free worship and by creating space to absorb everything that God does in these moments. We run – but God walks, and so when we are deliberate about taking our time in worship, amazing things always happen.
2. It will show you what’s possible beyond the songs
Singing worship songs is a such a powerful ministry to the body of Christ and being prophetic in worship opens doors that allow us to move beyond those songs. Singing songs is not a means to an end but the first step on a pathway to a deep encounter with God. When songs are sung, heaven is open and that leads to endless possibilities to hear from God, receive miracles and be transformed on the inside. Musicians have the platform to facilitate this level of ministry as they host these moments as a band of priests and prophets. This is an art form that must be preserved if we are going to continue to hear God’s voice.
3. It will increase your creative flair as a minister of music
Improvisation in worship is about instant composition, spontaneous communication, and creative expression. This is a dimension where we don’t have to time to think or refine but rather, we must allow ourselves to be led by the Holy Spirit into places of uncertainty and mystery, where we must trust our divine instincts and our creative wiring. This is a divine knowing where the timelessness of God and our unique design reaches its full potential and where we express our creativity on the fly. Where we create improvised melodies or rhythms on our instruments and where we create with the power of the spoken or sung word and ideas come to life from our artisan soul. This masterclass captures moments where this spiritual practice is demonstrated and imparted.
